The feature of this piece is the stunning greenstone axe blade which is firmly bound to the handle with black cord. The greenstone, or pounamu is a lovely shade of green with dark flecks indicative of New Zealand's native pounamu.

Axe measures 43cm long and the head/blade is 13.5cm long
