Renowned Tā Moko artist and cultural advisor Graham Tipene, of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, creates work grounded in mana whenua, honouring whakapapa, identity and cultural continuity. Inspired by Kawakawa Pounamu and the story of his father’s connection to Kawakawa, this second collaboration honours Te Reo Māori, its resilience, and the importance of keeping the language visible, spoken and alive.
